Have you ever coached kids sports? Have you ever watched how people suck the joy out of the game for the kids? Do you have a kid, or might you ever have a kid, who plays? Then watch this video. Makes no difference what sport. I am a soccer person not a hockey fan. My son plays soccer, and I have been an assistant coach for both soccer and baseball. This is simply a great lesson from an excellent professional coach who knows his stuff.
OK, so a lot of people, like me, think that you shouldn’t use cell phones while driving. Others insist on their need to do so. My solution is this - if you are going to use your cell phone while driving then you must post your phone number on your car so we can call to tell you when you are driving like an idiot. If you are going 30 miles per hour in the left hand land on the interstate, I want to be able to ring you up an tell you to move your distracted butt over! If you are so busy talking that you are running off the side of the road, I should be able to call you up and tell you to Wake Up! Seems a small price to pay for your freedom of endangering our roads. And hey, if you drive perfectly well while on the phone then you will never get that call telling you to quit typing on the BlackBerry while trying to merge into traffic.
Oh, and for those who care, my wife found my lost car keys. It sucks getting old . . .
So I definitely got on the wrong side of the karma. In the past few days I have lost my trunk key - with my trunk locked, had the freezer’s fuse blow thereby spoiling everything in it, and received a few unexpected bills in the mail. Geez! Is it all my political comments or what?
Luckily I have gotten some good advice about breaking into my own trunk, so I am off to try that. No way to bring the stuff in the freezer back, but at least there were no dead bodies in there. And as for the unexpected bill… guess I am just going to have to pay them.
Only good news has been that I think I am going to be sent to Boston for a few days in mid-April. That should be fun. It is a work trip, but the evenings will be free. I really enjoyed myself up there last May, so I am looking forward to this. Bet it will still be cold in April though….
