Thoughts to Ponder

Published by Michael at 9:16 am under General, Writing

Sunrise or sunset?I have been trying to figure out what I am really doing and where I really want to go, right? So I started thinking last night and the following questions popped into my head. I would love to hear your answers…

  1. If all the ties that bind you were broken, what would you do?
  2. A few close friends or lots of casual acquaintances? Which do you have and which would you prefer?
  3. The future. Hopeful or depressing?
  4. Which do you prefer to watch, the sunrise or the sunset?
  5. The time of year you enjoy most - Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter?
  6. And the old standby, chocolate or vanilla?

These were just some of the things I was trying to use to define where I am and where I want to be. OK, the chocolate / vanilla thing just kind of popped in there and sounded fun. For the record, I know it is boring, but in ice cream I am a vanilla person. In cakes, candies, and most other foods I am a chocolate person. Very deep, rich, dark chocolate.

So, come on and let me know where you are on these!

    1. I wouldn’t change a thing about my life right now. We’ve discussed maybe moving out of the States, but other than that, not a thing.

    2. Few close friends. I’ve always been that way. I want those people that I can call at 2am bawling my eyes out or something.

    3. Extremely hopeful for me personally. Globally, I worry.

    4. Sunrise. I like the feeling of a new day. Sunset, I’m usually panicking about what I didn’t get done. :)

    5. Fall, 100%. The crisp air and the colors are like a wonder of Mother Nature to me.

    6. The answer is always chocolate, Michael. Always. (Um, and it’s MILK chocolate.)

I am sooooo sad. There I thought you were the perfect woman, but then you go and say “milk” chocolate. Sad. Very sad. Don’t you know it has to be dark chocolate?

Actually though, I agree with all of your other answers except #1. Of course if I had an ideal life like you I would be in agreement with #1 also.

    1. Travel, travel, and travel some more!
    2. Why have few when you can have many close friends?
    3. Positively hopeful
    4. Sunset, something about reflecting on a day well done
    5. Spring…new life, hills are green, flowers budding
    6. Chocolate - Dark, Dark Chocolate

Elise, I have to agree with #1! Can’t get enough travel. But number 2… I have a problem with having a few good friends, I have no idea how I would balance many. That would be a good thing for me to work on.
