Democratic Debate
Just a quick note on the debate this evening. The sparing in the first have actually made me uncomfortable, but overall it was interesting and didn’t change much. My wife, who likes Hillary, still prefers Hillary to the others. I, obviously an Obama fan, still prefer Obama and appreciate what he is trying to do. I like that he is trying to change the entire dynamic and to move the battle field from the way things have been done. But, I don’t think that what went on tonight convinced anybody else. The one change that we both had is that John Edwards went up in our opinions. We still like the other candidates better, but Edwards came off quite well and earned our respect - if not our vote.

Michael, I was referred by VoxFortis, and wanted to leave a quick comment.
Edwards has long been my “if only I could” pick. The realist in me knows better, as JDE doesn’t have the funds to keep up. I wish Obama would have the same drive and determination JDE has and conjured the same level of passion in the netroots.
That being said, Andrew Sullivan has an excellent article in last month’s Atlantic about why Obama is the only real choice to heal the country. You should look it up and check it out. I normally can’t stand Sullivan, and can’t believe I have recommended him to others… but there you have it.
I will email you a link.
Cheers.
Thanks for the recommendation. I will have to find this at the library and check it out. I really hadn’t thought much about Edwards until last night, but I think he did well for himself.
@Michael
Check it out here. No need to turn off the Mac Book Air.

Enjoy, and tell your wife that Hillary’s not the answer for me, ok?
Hey Michael
The other Michael up there is my fiance…I told him he had to start reading you. Luckily he knows his place and turned up here.
Oviously you have good taste in men - at least names that is.
Knows his place?! You are going to scare him off with talk like that.
Reminds me of something I was told the other day about marriage - “You can either be right, or happy. Pick one.” How true!!
@Susan - Don’t you have some housework to do? Go on now, and let the men talk.

Ouchie for HillBillary.
She is going to hurt you man!
That was a great article. My sentiment exactly. Nice to find someone who summed up my feelings so well.
