Neil Gaiman For Free
Harper Collin’s is making an electronic version of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods available for free for a limited time. A poll was taken on Mr. Gaiman’s website as to which book should be made available, and American Gods won. It is a great book, so I have included the link below.
It is a fairly lengthy book, so if you are like me, you won’t be into reading the entire thing electronically. But at least this will give you a really good taste of it and let you know if you want to buy it.

I’ve just had a look and I couldn’t read the whole thing online. However it will be useful to see whether I want to buy or borrow it. I read Stardust and loved it. Neverwhere I enjoyed but there were darker parts to it which left me wondering whether I really wanted to read any more of his books. Now I can have a look and see, so thank you for the link!
A.’s last blog post..Yes we have more bananas
Well, I certainly cannot tell you that American Gods is not dark. Just look at that cover! I found it a very enjoyable read although there is some sex and there is some violence. On the other hand, I loved Neverwhere. It is my favorite Gaiman work so far, and one of my favorite books ever. But anyone who knows his work will tell you that he has a very, very dark side. There is a reason why he always wears black…
Funny they picked that one. I read American Gods this month and thought it wasn’t that interesting. I had read Neverwhere just before and enjoyed that far more. I wouldn’t have picked up another of his books if I had started with American Gods. I’m hoping for a sequel to Neverwhere.

@Laura - I totally agree. I would have chosen Neverwhere or maybe Stardust. I liked American Gods, but would have a hard time recommending it to a wide audience as their first exposure to the author. Oh, and BTW, I like your little witch and her dragon. Very cute!
