I just purchased four books for our grandson at the request of his mother. He loves to draw pictures, and so she suggested some art books. I tried to stay age-appropriate with a couple of them, but also included some he and his sister can “grow into”. I love books, and so I am always happy to share my love of them with people I care about. Happy Book Day!

@Beeker – I agree with that! Reading give you the ability to find the solutions to all the problems you aren’t otherwise given the keys to. It is the great equalizer.

Encouragement of reading has to be one of the most important things a parent can do. I know the internet can provide vast amounts of information, almost overwhelming amounts at times, but a book is special. You can take it away with you almost anywhere, and fill any odd moments.
