@Fragileheart – I was reminded of this on a trip to Canada a few years back when I was asking about safety in one area. The desk clerk told me, “Of course it is safe. We don’t carry guns here like you Americans.” What?! Do I look like John Wayne?

Hahahahah brilliant! There’s another reason I will never live in the US – guns! No thank you!! (Yes I realise there are guns in Canada too but not on the same level)

@Beeker – sad but true. And I am often related to them.

@Grace – My wife almost had a celebration this year because I had not gone to the emergency room in all of 2007. I don’t do guns at all, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still hurt myself…

I knew right where you were going (not exactly, but the general vicinity) when I read “Ya’ll watch this!” Usually followed by 1 of 3 things: (1) “Didga see that?” (means “It was stupid, but everyone’s ok”), (2) “Now, why on God’s Green Earth would you do somethin’ like that?” (means “Yep it was stupid…go put some ice on it.”), (3) “Oh my Lord!” (means “It probably requires stitches.”)

Seriously, I’m glad your friend is doing well…aside from that thank him indirectly of course for the “Oh my Lord!” chuckle I got
