Well, I am about out of my current cards, and I discovered that I actually forgot to put my phone number on them. Yes, I know it was pretty lame, but I am so used to email and people using email to contact me that I didn’t even know the number wasn’t there for about 3 months. Finally an old-school friend told me that he didn’t know my number because it wasn’t on the card. Duh!
Anyway, I have been using online printing services for holiday cards, business card printing and other printing needs, so of course I am looking at doing the same thing again. I just find that the online printers offer far better discounts, and capabilities even, than the local places. I have tried a few different places bu will probably am looking at using PsPrint this time since they offer discount printing that looks very attractive.
My basic needs are a colorful card printed front and back, the ability to include the logos for my Apple and Microsoft certifications, and some customization in terms of how I place the text on the card. I have never gotten any posters or such done, but I have thought about getting postcards to send out to prospective clients. Although in my mind, postcards fall into roughly the same categories as phones. I just don’t use them much! But, I know other people do, so if I can get a good discount on the postcard printing, I may go for that too.
The long and the short of all of this is – if you have any recommendations on how to do this or printers to use, please let me know. Your input is welcome and greatly appreciated!
Hmm… and maybe I will get someone totally impartial to proofread this time.

OK, I will admit it – though some of you already know – I turned off my iPhone and switched from AT&T to Verizon. It has been just over a month now, and although I do miss having some cellular features available on my iPhone, I really do prefer Verizon to AT&T.
First of all, why did I make the change? Well, for me to be on AT&T with the iPhone was costing about $85 with tax and such. That was for the basic plan with only a five dollar addition for text messaging. All of my family was on Verizon with free calling between them – but not back and forth to me.
By heading the call of cellular sales and changing over to their network I was able to be added on to my wife’s plan and have it go up by only $10 per month. So, by switching I am saving about $75 per month or $900 per year.
At that kind of savings you really have to ask if the cellular features of the iPhone were worth it. I can still use my iPhone as an iPod Touch, so all the apps and such are still there. From Verizon I got a Samsung Intensity™ in Flamingo Red. It is cool. Has a slide out keyboard for texting and a pretty good little camera. I also added a cheap 2gig micro-sd card to store pictures and some music on.

Just wanted to post a few pictures from the Christmas Eve services at the Unitarian Church in Charleston. This was the early service with lots and lots of kids. There was even one dog in attendance. The later service will be a bit more formal and orderly, but the 5pm service was a lot of fun.

This great model train layout is set up by the Charleston model railroad club every year. It us in the grand lobby of the Charleston Place hotel. Going to visit it is an annual tradition for many families – including mine.
